BAAN RIVA
This project is conceived under the concept of Modern Tropical Contemporary Living, aiming to create an architecture that embodies understated luxury while fostering a harmonious relationship with the natural environment and tropical climate.
The building's form is developed with clean, sharp lines, emphasizing horizontal dimensions and projecting eaves to evoke a sense of lightness and transparency, softening the mass of the structure. The modular arrangement of volumes defines clear functional zones, while also inviting natural elements such as light, breeze, and greenery to permeate the interior.
At the heart of the home lies the seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. Large glass walls, terraces, and semi-outdoor spaces flow effortlessly into the garden and pool, allowing residents to engage with nature from every vantage point. Water, as a key design element, cultivates an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation, enhancing the cooling comfort of the environment.
Design Approach
The design process began with a careful analysis of the site's context, located by the lakefront, with unobstructed views to the southwest. The design team positioned the building to capture the morning light and reduce the afternoon glare, using strategically placed sunshades and extended eaves to ensure balanced natural light throughout the day.
The swimming pool is aligned parallel to the lake’s waterline, creating a continuous visual flow between the pool surface and the lake’s surface. This intentional blurring of boundaries between interior and exterior spaces fosters a seamless connection with the surrounding landscape.
THE SILT HOUSE

This three-story residence is designed around the central concept of creating a spacious, open interior while maintaining the privacy of its inhabitants. Every space is meticulously crafted to allow natural light and airflow to penetrate efficiently, while carefully controlling the views from the outside. The design strikes a delicate balance between openness and protection, ensuring a harmonious living environment where both connection to nature and privacy are thoughtfully preserved.
The concept begins with an in-depth analysis of the site's wind and sunlight patterns from morning to afternoon, determining the optimal placement of openings. The building's layout is centered around a Ventilation Core — a double-volume void that functions to expel warm air from the interior, enhancing natural ventilation.

The homeowner envisioned a space and atmosphere that could accommodate a growing lifestyle, in terms of both function and comfort, as well as aesthetic appeal.
